This one's gonna be on loop for a while.

Phenomenal job. This song was totally chilling to listen to. Every sound was right where it needed to be and your buildups took a perfectly good amount of time. It just sounded totally professional. Any complaint I would have would just be to add a little bit more bass in the background to fill up that bit of empty space, but it might just be your DAW acting up, I'm not sure. Keep up the great work!

I really like the evil, demonic aspect of this song, that ambient feel it had made it just that much better. Definitely was unique, weird, which, don't get me wrong, was a good thing. Your song's unpredictability made it feel just that more evil. The little glistening sound effects in the background were a nice touch as well.

Now, I know you were going for a feeling of unease throughout the song, however I thought there was just a little too much tension and buildup for this song's duration. I think the final climatic part at around 04:05 could have used a bit more distortion or noise mixed in it, just to bring about the end of the song better.

Take my feedback with a grain of salt, I know you've been working on this for over 6 months, and the work has shown. Keep it up.

Yeah you're completely right. The song built up a shit ton of tension, but didn't have a big release. That's actually one of the big problems I'm already aware of, too. Anyways, I started out that whole section by just copy-pasting the part at about 1:20, and didn't really change much from there, besides adding an arpeggio that's not even in-key and simplifying the chord progression to just one note instead of two for each chord. It gave it a stronger feel, but not nearly enough. Plus, I didn't wanna make it too crazy, so that the real climax before it could stand out more. But yeah, I completely agree with you. I'll fix it soon, but for now I'm gonna leave this as-is and start working on my next one. All the advice I've gathered from other "musicians" I know (friends and instructors, mostly) told me not to dwell on the problems, and to just push songs out. There's gonna be some good, and some bad. I personally hate that idea. I'm a perfectionist. However, now that I've actually made something, I kinda understand it. I will go back and fix all the problems eventually, and especially with the remastered version coming down the line. Anyways, thanks for the advice!

[Slightly Better Work in Progress]

Really neat stuff, dude. I can really feel the emotion in this song. It sounds a lot better with the changes! You’ve done well to make it sound dark and intimidating. My feedback would just be to shorten the first part, and to decrease the volume on the noises from 1:35 to 2:08. However, everything else is pretty solid. Good luck with finishing, can’t wait for the full song!

Thanks for the feedback! I completely failed at mastering this, so the dynamics are pretty shitty for the whole song imo, but I guess I’m glad that you only noticed it for the end parts. The parts in the intro and after the earrape are wayyyy to quiet, compared to that earrape. Anyways, I’m already working on shortening the beginning; however, there’s just so much stuff I’m tryna stuff into this song, it’s hard to keep it short. Which is also the reason the finished project will be around 7 minutes long. I’m pretty happy with my chord progressions, and pretty soon I’m finally gonna add the guitar. MIxing ambient and metal is not easy. At all. It’s really hard to not only get everything to sound pretty chill for some parts, but have menacing chord progressions simultaneously. Dynamics are the key, and I done fucked it up :P But yeah it’s just a preview so I’m just gonna keep workin in it, and I’ll be sure to incorporate your feedback :D

Great song, well worth the wait! The bass really kept it fresh and I thought your style mixed really well with the Egyptian theme. Well done!

I think this song was put together quite well. The mix of drumstep, dubstep and piano worked pretty nicely together. The frequency could be a bit lower and the increase of volume a little more subtle, perhaps. Overall, could use some work, but still enjoyable to listen to.

I thought this song was pretty good. I really felt the factory setting while listening, and the fast pace kept it interesting. Keep it up.

Also, was this inspired by WaterFlame?
I’ve heard a lot of his music and it sounded almost like something he would make.

Thank you for the review first off. Second, I am not familiar with Waterflame I’ll have to look him up! I was trying to get a nice chunky riff with some electronic elements. I hope you couldn’t notice, that I used a synth instead of a real instrument.

[Calm Craggy Area (1f1n1ty Remix)]

I thought this song was put together very well. It felt very atmospheric, the pacing was great and I loved the little attentions to detail such as the little sound effects in the background. I really felt like I was being taken on an adventure through out the song.

I did find a few problem with it, for example I thought the climaxes were cut a bit short, and the part after the first climax felt kind of remote from the rest of the song.

Nevertheless, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend this song.

I'd argue that all of the parts close to the climax was sort of cut away from the rest. My transition attempts were there, but not all of them were good :P

I absolutely adore this song. The instruments are well synced the climax happens just at the right time. I even appreciated the little Skype sound :)

It's odd, I get chills whenever I listen to this song. It just puts me into a deep state of mind. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer.

I wish you'd get more attention, Cacola, you are a wonderful creator, and your style of music inspires me.
